DeVilbiss Recall of PRESSURE WASHERS & AIR COMPRESSORS
As of December 15, 2006, DeVilbiss Air Power Company PRESSURE WASHERS & AIR COMPRESSORS with pneumatic tires and plastic hubs were recalled because of the risk of fracture and laceration. The pressure washers and air compressors have pneumatic tires with plastic hubs that can burst, possibly causing lacerations or fractures in consumers. There have been 26 reports of injuries, including lacerations, fractures and bruises.
Approximately 620,000 pressure washers and 72,000 air compressors have been recalled. The recalled brands include Delta, Excell, Porter-Cable, Pressure-Wave, and Water Driver pressure washers, and Porter-Cable air compressors. They were manufactured from January 2004 through May 2006.
The recalled pressure washers had been sold at home center and hardware stores around the country from January 2004 through November 2005. Prices ranged from $300 to $1,400. The recalled air compressors had been sold at home center and hardware stores around the country from December 2004 through October 2006. Prices ranged from $300 to $500.
